Sunday, April 22 marks the 48th anniversary of the founding of Earth Day in 1970 by US senator Gaylord Nelson. The first Earth Day was celebrated by over 20 million Americans across the country. The popular demonstrations associated with Earth Day moved the issue of environmental protection to the front of the national agenda. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was created by Congress in December of 1970, with the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts soon to follow.

Five decades of progress have given us the renewed, clearer environment that we now enjoy. Beef Jerky Outlet Franchise has been associated with the outdoors and clean environment ever since its founding. BJO stores are a favorite shopping location for hunters, fisherman, campers and everyone who loves outdoor activities. BJO customers tend to be outdoors folks who appreciate the importance of protecting the environment.

Many BJO stores are in the vicinity of big box outdoor retailers, others are adjacent to picturesque natural venues like the Smoky Mountains. Jerky is the natural food of outdoor trekkers and cross-county ramblers. 100 varieties of jerky are mighty tempting to anyone planning a sojourn into nature’s realm. Of course, one can enjoy a snack of BJO Elk, Venison or Buffalo Jerky in the comfort of the family room or Man Cave. The vicarious dream of a Mountain Man adventure lives on in us all!

Speaking of mountains, Beef Jerky Outlet stores have found a home in the Rockies! There are now a half-dozen BJO stores in Colorado, including the new outlet in Estes Park in the heart of the Rocky Mountain National Park. BJO stores have long been located in the Smoky Mountains, now we have stores in the Ozarks, the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, the Great Lakes and the Mississippi and soon the Pacific Ocean. At Beef Jerky Outlet, we celebrate Earth Day from sea to shining sea!
