Father’s Day is this weekend on Sunday, June 17. If you haven’t picked out a gift for Dad, time is quickly running out. The short porch schedule is no reason to panic, there’s still time left to make the right decision, or at least one that doesn’t overtly insult Dad’s feelings.

You may think that’s not a big deal, that any old pair of tube socks will make him happy. Don’t underestimate Dad’s feelings. Just because he showed no reaction when you came home with that ten-year old custom motorcycle, doesn’t mean he can’t be hurt.

The first and most important thing is to avoid giving him the wrong gift. Use the Sherlock Holmes approach to deductive reasoning and eliminate all the gifts you shouldn’t give to the honored family patriarch.

The Great Detective implored his faithful sidekick Dr. Watson: “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” The resolution to this deductive approach to gift giving will turn out not to be improbable, but in fact a first-choice go-to option, but let’s have some fun and follow the process anyway.

Online consumer website Nerd Wallethas some great suggestions for what not to get Dad. For example, don’t give him a gym membership. This will just point out that he needs to shape up. Why needlessly hurt his feeling is such a callous manner? Another thing not to give Pop is cologne. Are you trying to tell him that he stinks? Don’t do it!

A generic gift card is another no-no. Here you are, a thirty-something, still living in the attic, and you don’t have any idea what the man who raised you from youngun’ hood* would appreciate in return for his unrequited paternal generosity.

Now that we have sharpened our deductive reasoning through the process of identifying the impossible, let’s move on to the truth of the matter:  Dad loves jerky and the Beef Jerky Outlet has the finest selection of Father’s Day gifting packages available this side of Rolex.

Beef Jerky Outlet’s new combo packages feature popular jerky flavors, jerky sticks, flavored popcorn and more. Four gift packages are currently available at convenient price points:  PersonalProfessionalPremiumand Platinum. Beef Jerky Outlet has a full complement of gift packages that are perfect for Father’s Day. And you don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to reach the correct solution!
